Vidhya Nagarajan received bachelor's degree in Polymer Technology from B. S. Abdur Rahman University, India in 2010. She has completed her M.A.Sc. in Biologocal Engineering at the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph. She has received Highly Qualified Personnel Scholarship from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Her research interests include biopolymers, and biocomposites. Her current research involves the improvement of the thermal stability of natural fibers for biocomposite applications and engineering of biodegradable composites from biofibers and bioplastics through co-injection moulding.
Rajendran Muthuraj is currently a PhD candidate in Biological Engineering at the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph. He has worked as Senior Research Fellow in Indian Institute of Technology- Madras from June 2010 to May 2011. He has received an M. Tech. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University in 2010, and a M.Sc. in Chemistry from Thiagarajar College (affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University) in 2008. He has also received a B.Sc. in Chemistry from A.P.A. College, (affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University) in 2006. His research interests include biopolymer composites, polymer blends, low cost polymer nano composites, and polymer processing.
Vida Poursorkhabi is currently a PhD candidate in Biological Engineering at the School of Engineering, University of Guelph. She received a M.Sc. in Polymer Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran in 2009, and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2005. Her research interests include polymer characterization methods, polymer physics, polymer processing especially polymers filled with biofibers, biopolymers and biocomposites. Her current research includes electrospinning and nanofibers.
Nima Zarrinbakhsh is currently a PhD candidate for Biological Engineering at the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph. He received a M.Sc. in Materials Characterization at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2009, and a B.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2006. His research interests include polymer processing, processing/structure/properties correlation, materials characterization methods, and biopolymers and biocomposites. His current work involves PHBV-DDGS composites.
Ryan received his B.Eng and M.A.Sc. in Biological Engineering from University of Guelph in 2011 and 2012 respectively. He is now enrolled as a Ph.D., in Biological Engineering with the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre. His research interests include new bio-based polymer development through blending technologies, design of experiments, polymer processing/structure/performance correlation, and polymer characterization. His current focus is on PLA/ABS based novel plastic blends and composites.
