Susan is an undergraduate researcher for the BDDC, conducting research on biomass pyrolysis and characterization of resulting biocarbon for application in composite systems. During her time at the BDDC, Susan aims to gain lab experience processing and analyzing samples as well as hone her scientific literature skills.

Jan 2022 - Present: Susan is currently researching the effect of pyrolysis temperatures on the characteristics of almond shell biocarbon
