The BOKU Group Visits BDDC

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022 representatives of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Universität für Bodenkultur Wien), or the BOKU Group visited the BDDC. The goal of the visit is to develop stronger research and project collaborations between BOKU and the University of Guelph.  
The Austrian delegation consisted of:  Professor Eva Schulev-Steindl (Rector and an expert in Environmental Law), Professor Karsten Schulz (Vice-Rector for Teaching, Continuing Education and Students, and an expert in Hydrology), Professor Dietmar Haltrich (Head of the Department of Food Science and Technology and an expert in Enzymology), Professor Johann Sölkner (Head of a Division of Livestock Sciences and an expert in Animal Genetics), Professor Georg Gratzer (Deputy Head of the Institute of Forest Ecology, expert in ecological system research), Professor Dagmar Grimm-Pretner (Institute of Landscape Architecture and expert in open space design), Ulf Thalhammer (MBA MSc, Head of the Rectors' Office), and Dr. Margarita Calderón-Peter (Head of BOKU-International Relations). 
Professor Manjusri Misra and Professor Amar Mohanty provided an overview of key BDDC research activities and accomplishments and led the tour at the BDDC facility.
